LUCCA, Italy – The Oregon State women’s basketball team posted another strong performance Saturday evening, topping AD Basket Femminile Le Mura 60-35 to earn its second win in as many days on this summer’s Italian tour.
“I thought we started a little bit sluggish, but overall we played well,” said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. “We were going against a veteran opponent that plays at a very high level. I loved our defensive intensity from the beginning, and I think we are continuing to grow, which is exciting. This was a really good win for us.”
Senior Ruth Hamblin led the way for Oregon State, putting up a double-double with 10 points and 10 blocks.
