CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team opened practice for the 2016-17 season on Thursday, hungry to get back to work with some new faces on the floor.
"We've been waiting to get back out there for a long time," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "We've had great workouts and a great offseason. I thought our conditioning was great. I felt like everyone was ready to go and receptive. I really liked the energy today."
The Beavers welcomed a quartet of talented freshmen into their first official training session, as Mikayla Pivec, Janessa Thropay, Kat Tudor and Maddie Washington all competed in their first practice with the program.
