Beavers head east for Midlands Championships

Senior Joey Palmer could drop down to 133 pounds for the CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team will compete at the 54th annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships at Northwestern University on Thursday and Friday. The Midlands is one of the top events of the winter. OSU placed 12th at the 2015 event with 50 points; then-sophomore Ronnie Bresser placed second and then-redshirt freshman Kegan Calkins placed sixth at 125 pounds. Coach Jim Zalesky said this week several lineup changes may be forthcoming. Senior Joey Palmer (14-4) is expected to drop from 141 to 133, his weight class for the past two seasons.
