Beavers Have Strong Outing at Portland Fall Classic

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon State men's rowing shined on a cloudy day at the Portland Fall Classic taking gold in both the Men's Collegiate Varsity 4+ and the Men's Collegiate 2-.

The Beavers raced four Varsity 4's in the Men's Varsity 4+ category. Oregon State crew in the "1975", coxswained by Sydney Poe, and powered by Austin DeMartine, Zachary Fried, Jacob Hart and Ezra Glickman, took first with a time of 19-minutes, 6.926 seconds. Followed closely by the "Alumni", with a time of 19:23.701.

"Going 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the Men's Varsity 4's is a good result, there was great conditions for a great race," said head coach Gabe Winkler.
