WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i – The Oregon State men's golf team opened its spring season with a 15th place finish at the 27th Annual Amer Ari Invitational on Saturday.
The Beavers played much better in the second and third rounds, finishing the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a 12-over 302-287-287--876 at the par-72, 7,074-yard Waikoloa Kings' Course.
Freshman led Oregon State for the fifth time in as many tournaments this season, finishing in a tie for 51st place with a 1-over 74-72-71--217.
Junior finished in 71st place with a 4-over 74-72-74--220, sophomore was a stroke back with a 5-over 76-70-75--221 to finish in a tie for 72nd and sophomore got better each round to finish in a tie for 78th with a 7-over 78-73-72--223.
