CORVALLIS – Running back Artavis Pierce totaled 116 yards of offense as Oregon State lost to California in Reser Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Beavers (1-6, 0-4 Pac-12) fell to the Golden Bears (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) by a final score of 49-7 in the 71st all-time meeting between the two schools.

Pierce picked up 44 rushing yards on 13 carries, and backed that up with 72 receiving yards off five catches. Quarterback Jack Colletto completed 11-of-20 passes for 104 yards.

The Beavers had a tough time in the first half failing to put any points on the scoreboard and trailed 21-0 at halftime.
