Beavers Fall To Buckeyes 6-1

The Oregon State baseball team lost for the first time this season, falling to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 6-1.

Bryce Fehmel picked up the loss to move his record to 1-1 on the season. The sophomore got himself into trouble early in the first inning allowing a runner to score on an errant pick-off attempt, but was able to battle back and minimize the damage. The right-hander ended the day with 5 innings pitched, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits including a 2-run home run to Brady Cherry in the 5th inning. Tommy Paul and Brandon Eisert combined for 4 innings of relief giving up 3 runs on 6 hits.
