Beavers fall short to Hawaii, 31-28

HONOLULU, Hi. - An impressive Beaver rushing attack paced by sophomore Jemar Jefferson's 183 yards wasn't enough as the Beavers fell to Hawaii by a late field goal, 31-28, inside Aloha Stadium on Saturday night. Senior quarterback Jake Luton finished with 169 passing yards and finished 15-of-32 on the night.

Oregon State faced a veteran Hawaii defense and responded in the first half out of the gate with a variety of different playmakers. The Beavers struck first with a short rush by a familiar target in sophomore Jermar Jefferson who picked up where he left off last season by scoring for the Beavs to go up 7-0 early in the first quarter.
