Beavers Fall Short In Exciting Game At Gill

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State battled until the very end before falling, 66-64, to Utah on Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers (9-5, 1-1 Pac-12) clawed back from a nine-point first-half deficit and took a 53-47 lead with 11:24 to play. The Utes (10-3, 2-0) answered with an 8-0 run and eventually took a 63-55 advantage with 3:37 on the clock.

Oregon State cut it to one two times, once on a dunk by with 1:07 to play, and the other time on a two free throws by with 27 seconds left.

Sedrick Barefield split a pair of free throws with 20 seconds that gave Utah a 66-64 lead.
