WACO, Texas – The Oregon State softball team's season came to a close at the hand of Kent State, who put a small rally together in the top of the fifth and held on to knock the Beavers out of the Waco Regional, 2-1. Taylor Cotton finished her career with a stellar performance in the circle, setting a career-high 11 strikeouts in four innings pitched. The lefty faced 20 batters and sat down over half of them, while allowing just four hits.
Cotton recorded eight of the first nine outs for the Beavers to keep the Golden Flash at bay heading into the home half of the third.
