CORVALLIS – The No. 15/22 Oregon State women's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday evening, narrowly falling to Marquette 74-73 at Gill Coliseum.
"First off, we have to give credit to Marquette, because they played a really good game," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "They're a really difficult team to defend, and they made plays down the stretch. I'm proud of our team. This was our first true test as a group, and I loved the way we responded. This is a new team creating its identity, and I think we went a long way towards doing that tonight.
