OREM, Utah – The Oregon State wrestling team fell 17-16 to Utah Valley University on Friday night. The Wolverines earned the decisive point by criteria.
The match was tied 16-16 after 10 bouts; both teams won five matches and neither had a fall. But the Wolverines (2-2) scored 78 total points to OSU's (1-3) 72 and earned the bonus point to win by one point for the second straight year.
Senior 141-pounder got OSU's lone bonus points with a 23-11 major decision. Redshirt sophomore (125), freshman (133), junior (149) and heavyweight all won by decision.
