SEATTLE – In a game that combined for 21 hits and 18 runs, the Oregon State softball team fought to the final out in the series rubber match with No. 10 Washington, but fell 10-8 on Sunday night at the Husky Softball Stadium. The Beavers juiced the bases in the top of the seventh with no outs, but the Huskies extinguished any scoring or comeback they tried to create.
The Huskies turned the tables on the Beavers, scoring first for the first time in the series. UW put OSU down in order to start the game before taking a 4-0 lead after the first frame.
