Beavers Drop Game One After Sun Devils Use Long Ball

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Oregon State softball team dropped its first Pac-12 road game of the season and game one of the series against No. 21/24 Arizona State, after the Sun Devils hit four home runs to defeat the Beavers 8-0 in six innings.

The Sun Devils scored in every inning, except the first frame when struck out two batters. ASU hit a pair of two-run home runs in the third and fourth innings, before adding insurance runs off solo homers in the fifth inning. The Devils finished the game on a walk off fielder's choice in the sixth after a leadoff double and single put the winning run on base and into scoring position.
