BERKELEY, Calif. — The Oregon State women's soccer team opened Pac-12 action today at No. 20 California falling, 3-0 to the Golden Bears.
The Beavers (5-3-2, 0-1 Pac-12) were led by junior Emma Jones and freshman Nicole Nickerson who both tallied a pair of shots on frame. Junior goalkeeper had a career match, recording a career-high eight saves in the loss. Her previous high was five, which she gathered three times.
Oregon State played with the Golden Bears (8-2, 1-0 Pac-12) through the first 30-minutes of play. Cal found the back of the net at 31:31 after Ifeoma Onumonu slipped past the defense and put one past Geist.
