SPOKANE, Wash. – In control for most of the match, the Oregon State University men's soccer team outpaced their opponent in the majority of stat columns, but lost in the one that mattered as American University claimed a 1-0 victory at Luger Field on the campus of Gonzaga University on Friday afternoon.
The Beavers (1-2) outshot the Eagles (1-2) at 21-4, eight of which needed stops from AU's keeper, and added 10 corner kicks to American's two.
"As far as creating chances, we did that by the boatload," said head coach Steve Simmons.
