After struggling in the first half, the 17th ranked Beavers took control in the third quarter to defeat the Washington Huskies 75-63 in their first conference game of the season. The win, Oregon State’s seventh in a row, brings the team to 10-2, while the Huskies fall to 6-6.

Oregon State was heavily favored, but for a time, the result was in doubt. Washington brought a full court press early and often in an attempt to keep the Beavers off their rhythm and to force turnovers, and for a time, it worked. Oregon State committed 11 turnovers in the first half, and their sloppy play led to a 36-30 deficit as they entered the locker room.
