ATHENS, Ga. – The Oregon State women’s golf team competed against some of the best teams in the country the past three days and concluded the 44th Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic with another narrow loss.
The Beavers fell 3-2 to Auburn in Sunday’s final match-play competition at the par-72, 6,307-yard University of Georgia Golf Course. Oregon State narrowly lost to No. 1 Duke and No. 7 Arkansas on Saturday.
The 12-team tournament featured one qualifying round of stroke play on Friday. The top-eight teams were put in the “red” bracket and the remaining four teams went in the “black” bracket.
