CLEMSON, S.C. – Three Oregon State crews – Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4+ – raced twice Saturday at the Clemson Invitational.
The final race of the day turned out to be the best for the Beavers as the V8 finished third in the second heat of evening racing. The Beavers covered the 2,000-meter course in a time of 6-minutes, 41.1-seconds crossing the finish 1.4-seconds ahead of Oklahoma (6:43.7). The OSU V8 also held off Central Florida, Columbia and Tennessee.
In other afternoon racing, the Beavers’ 2V8 and V4+ each finished sixth. OSU’s V4+ narrowly held off UCF pulling in just one second ahead.
