Beavers claim dramatic OT win over California

Box Score CORVALLIS, Ore. – Junior quarterback Darell Garretson scored the winning touchdown on a 16-yard quarterback draw in overtime on Saturday night to give the Oregon State football team a dramatic 47-44 victory over California at Reser Stadium.

Garretson's winning carry, on a third-and-one play, erased a 44-41 California lead and gave the Beavers their first Pacific-12 Conference victory of the Gary Andersen coaching era.

The Beavers rushed for 474 yards on 50 carries, a school record against a conference opponent. They erupted for 559 yards of total offense, an all-time best in the 17-game Andersen coaching era.
