Beavers Battle Kansas State to Draw

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's soccer team out-shot Kansas State 21-7 Friday evening, but was held to a 0-0 draw in its season-opener at Lorenz Field.

"You have to give Kansas State a lot of credit," said Oregon State head coach Linus Rhode. "They came in with a good game plan and they fought to the very end. We generated a lot of chances today, but we need to put them away. Overall, we take a lot of good things away. From here we just keep building."

Senior goalkeeper Bella Geist held the clean sheet, as the Oregon State back line held firm for the entire match.
