Beaver Baseball Sneaks Past Portland 4-3

The OSU baseball team, powered by the efforts of two freshman, beat the Portland Pilots 4-3 in front of a sold out Joe Etzel field in Portland. The Beavers have now won 20 straight games, tying the longest win streak in college baseball this season (Missouri also won 20 straight earlier this season).

Sam Tweedt got the start for Pat Casey lasting 3 13 innings while giving up 2 runs including a solo home run to right fielder Chris Arpan in the second. Grant Gambrell relieved Tweedt in the 4th, pitching to just one Portland batter in relief, hitting Arpan on a pitch that appeared to hit his bat.
