Austin Hudson transfers to Oregon State to pursue starting job, Master's degree

CORVALLIS --When receiver Jordan Villamin was assigned to roommate Austin Hudson during Oregon State's fall camp trip to Bend, he quickly noticed how Hudson spent his free time.

"He's doing a lot of homework right now, which is surprising," Villamin said during that week. "I couldn't be doing any homework right now."

Hudson is studying his new OSU playbook, of course. But the South Florida transfer is also currently enrolled in two graduate-level courses as part of OSU's new Master's in clinical mental health counseling program.

Hudson is at OSU -- his third Division I school -- to compete for a starting safety job while reuniting with Gary Andersen, who coached him for one season at Wisconsin.
