Andy Armstrong Named A Semifinalist For Brooks Wallace Award

LUBBOCK, Texas – Oregon State senior Andy Armstrong has been named as one of 30 semifinalists for the Brooks Wallace Award, the College Baseball Foundation announced Tuesday.

The honor is given annually to the nation's top shortstop and Armstrong, a native of Salem, will be vying to become the second Beaver to win the award, following Cadyn Grenier in 2018.

Armstrong is the lone Oregon State player to play in all 49 games this season. He has started all 49 games at shortstop.

Now in his fifth season with the Beavers, Armstrong is batting .
