Anderson rewrites record book

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Junior Morgan Anderson ran the second-fast 1500 meters in school history and four other members of Oregon State’s middle distance crew had season-fastest times in the same event on Friday.

Running at the Stanford Invitational, Anderson took first in her section and cut more than a second off her all-time best by running 4:23.53 to win her section. Her former PR of 4:24.55, set at Eugene in 2015, was the second-fastest clocking in OSU history before Friday.

“Morgan ran ladies down,” in coming from behind to win her section, coach Kelly Sullivan said.
