CORVALLIS – Matt Dahlen wore a stunned expression sitting at a podium in the Gill Coliseum basement Sunday evening.
His face complemented his jersey, a nameless replacement uniform, as signifiers of just how rapidly life had changed in nine days for the Oregon State men's basketball walk-on.
As Dahlen worked on a group project at the university's business building on Friday, Nov. 4, his iPhone buzzed with a message from men's basketball director of player personnel Joey Petschl asking him to come to the team office.
