CORVALLIS, Ore. – An incredible bicycle-kick golden goal by junior Jordan Jones gave the Oregon State men's soccer team an impressive 3-2 victory over No. 21 San Diego State on Thursday at Lorenz Field.
Jones took a right-to-left pass from freshman Eric Diaz and acrobatically re-directed the ball into the right corner at 97:48 to give the Beavers (6-7-3, 2-4-2 Pac-12) their second consecutive Pac-12 Conference victory. They defeated California 1-0 on Oct. 30 victory in their previous start.
"San Diego State is a very good team, and if you give them half an inch they're going to score," said Oregon State head coach Steve Simmons.
