The Cowboys ousted a trendy Liberty squad in the Round of 64, despite an inefficient day from Cunningham, who tallied 15 points and 5 rebounds on a 3-14 shooting performance. Instead, Oklahoma State turned to guard Avery Anderson III, who totaled 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in an all-around effort that was reminiscent of what any star-in-waiting would need to do to push their team through to the next round.
