CORVALLIS - If the Pac-12 decides to expand its slate of men's basketball conference games, it sounds like the league has a backer in Wayne Tinkle.
Jon Wilner of the Bay Area News Group reported Tuesday the Pac-12 in considering expanding from 18 to 20 conference games, which would involve playing those additional games in mid-December and eliminating two non-conference games.
Tinkle said Tuesday before Oregon State men's basketball practice that the expansion discussion had come up in previous league meetings. He indicated his ideal scenario would involve playing 22 league games so that each team plays all 11 conference foes at home and away every season.
