LEXINGTON, Ky. -- It was a seminal victory for Oregon State women's basketball, arguably the biggest in program history.
And now, with a second-ever Elite Eight berth on the line for the Beavers, the very same opponent stands in the way.
The sixth-seeded Beavers (25-7) will square off against No. 2 seed Baylor (33-1) in the Lexington Regional semifinals of the NCAA Tournament at 4 p.m. PT Friday. It's a rematch of the 2016 regional final that Oregon State won 60-57 to earn the program its first trip to the Final Four.
Beavers coach Scott Rueck remembers it fondly.
