10 things to watch at the Oregon State spring game

Oregon State will play its spring game earlier in the calendar year than ever before, hosting the event at 1 p.m. Saturday in Reser Stadium. Why the early start? Here's an explanation and read below for 10 things to watch in Corvallis on Saturday.

1. Quarterback battle

All five quarterbacks – Jake Luton, Marcus McMaryion, Darell Garretson, Conor Blount and Mason Moran – will play at some point Saturday. But all eyes will be on the first three, who are still engaged in a battle to become the Beavers' starting quarterback.

Luton (pictured), the 6-foot-7 JC transfer, has the best arm of the bunch and often seemed like top option throughout the spring.
