For my money, the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are one of the best shows in sports when done right.
And the people who run track meets at Hayward Field know what they are doing.
This year's NCAA meet gets underway Wednesday at Hayward. Florida is expected to win the men's team title going away.
But the women's meet is up for grabs. At least five teams are positioned to win it -- Georgia, USC, Oregon, Kentucky and Stanford -- if they can avoid missteps and catch a few breaks.
The Oregon Ducks enter the meet third on the Track & Field News form chart, four points behind favored Georgia and two behind USC, projected for second.
