Just 24 hours after Billy Napier was fired at Florida, reporters in Seattle asked Washington head coach Dedd Fisch about his future plans and commitment to the Huskies.
Fisch, who has changed jobs every three years since breaking into coaching, was ready with a nondenial denial. “I’m not going to address any coaching changes or coaching rumors or anything to that effect,” he said. “I’ve learned the most important thing we can do here is being where our feet are.”
In his second season the 49-year-old head coach is 11-9 at Washington, 28-31 overall. He's a 1998 graduate of the University of Florida, though he did not play football in high school or college, an all-state tennis player as a prep.
