The Oregon Softball team (17-19, 2-8) handed the #1 UCLA Bruins (35-2, 9-1) their first conference loss of the season in a 4-3 upset in Los Angeles. Jordan Dail delivered a masterful performance, striking out 12 and improving her record to 14-8 by snapping the Bruins 19-game winning streak.
Down 2-0 at the top of the 6th, Haley Cruse reached home plate thanks to a two-out RBI hit by freshman Jasmine Sievers. Then, Senior April Utecht hit a two-run homer that gave the Ducks a 3-2 lead. Dail struck out the side in order and Rachel Cid hit a solo homer.
