TUCSON, Ariz. – After day one of the decathlon at the Jim Click Multis, redshirt sophomore Max Vollmer sits in second place overall with 4,004 points. Vollmer is one of three Ducks currently in the top 10 along with Nathan Poff (3,605 points) in sixth and Dalen Hargett (3,476 points) in 10th place.
The competition resumes Friday at 10 a.m. (PT) with the 110-meter hurdles.
Vollmer finished among the top four in four of five events Thursday including a first-place result in the shot put where he got the implement out to 15.
