EUGENE, Ore. — Averaging 27.5 points a game at the San Diego Invitational last week, Oregon freshman forward Grace VanSlooten grabbed both the Pac-12 Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week awards, the conference office announced Monday.
VanSlooten set a career high with 29 points against No. 3 Ohio State last Wednesday, going 11-for-16 from the field and 7-for-9 from the free throw line while grabbing nine rebounds and three blocks. In the Ducks' 85-78 win over No. 17 Arkansas on Tuesday, she scored 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting to go with six rebounds.
