UO Wins at Silverado, Grabs Second Spring Title

NAPA, Calif. – The Oregon women’s golf team fought off a late rush from Oregon State and won the Second Annual Silverado Showdown with a 25-over 889 in Napa, Calif., at the Silverado North Course, defeating the Beavers (890) by just one stroke. The team championship marks the second title of the year for the Ducks, who have now placed in first or second in four out of their five spring tournaments.

Freshman Kelsey Ulep led the Ducks for the second-consecutive round and finished the final 18 with a 1-over 73, but it was Caroline Inglis’ back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes that ultimately pushed UO back ahead of Oregon State after they made a charge at the end of the day.
