The Bowerman Track Club's Emily Infeld claims the USATF women's cross country title

Emily Infeld surged to victory over the final 500 meters Saturday to win the USA Track & Field women's cross country title in Tallahassee, Florida.

Infeld, who trains with the Portland-based Bowerman Track Club, broke away from what had been a two-woman race with Molly Seidel to finish the 10,000-meter course in 33 minutes, 18.7 seconds.

Seidel was second in 33.22.1 in the race held at the Apalachee Regional Park Cross-Country Running Course. Courtney Frerichs of the Bowerman Track Club was fourth.

Distance runner Emily Infeld is back, and in a big way

Leonard Korir of the U.S. Army's World Class Athlete Program won an exciting back-and-forth battle with Galen Rupp of the Nike Oregon Project to finish first in the 10,000-meter men's race in 29:16.
