-- There isn't a World Indoor Championships this year, which has taken a little of the luster off of the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships.
The meet begins Friday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Many of the sport's top names are skipping it.
Locally, though, the Portland-based Bowerman Track Club has invested in it.
The BTC's Evan Jager, Lopez Lomong, Shelby Houlihan and Colleen Quigley show up in the mile entries. Houlihan, Woody Kincaid and Ryan Hill are listed as entered in the 2 mile.
Olympian Ben Blankenship of Oregon Track Club Elite is listed in the mile and two mile.
