The Oregon women’s tennis team began Pac-12 tournament play on Wednesday April 24. The #64 ranked and 10-seed Ducks would need an upset against #41 and 7-seed Arizona at the Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai, CA to advance. There would be no plucky underdog story though, as Oregon lost the meet 4-0 to the Wildcats. Arizona took the first two doubles matches 6-0 and 6-2 to secure the point. In singles play, the Wildcats won the first three matches in straight sets to end the competition.
Candela Aparisi forced her opponent to extra games before falling in her first set 7-6 and then lost the second set 6-3.
