SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Oregon track and field's Deajah Stevens and Ariana Washington each earned spots on Team USA in the 100 meters for the IAAF World Championships in London on Friday, highlighting the first two days of action for the Ducks at the U.S. Outdoor Championships in Sacramento.
Former Duck star Eric Jenkins also punched his ticket to London and earned a place on Team USA on Friday with a second-place finish in the 5,000 meter finals (13:15.74).
How it Happened: Stevens (11.08) and Washington (11.10), who posted the second and fourth fastest times, respectively, in the 100 semifinals earlier in the day, finished 2-3 in the finals to earn spots in London.
