Last season, the Oregon Women’s Basketball team went farther than they ever had in their history meeting Connecticut in the NCAA Tournament Elite 8. This season the respect is there from the start with a Top 15 Ranking to start the season and one of the best players in the country beginning her Sophomore season under Head Coach Kelly Graves.
Ionescu is working on becoming a household name not just in Oregon, but throughout the Nation. Last week she spent Thursday touring and visiting with reporters at ESPN in preparation for the upcoming season. For Oregon, most of the scoring talent returns including Maite Cazorla, Justine Hall, and Lexi Bando, but it will be Ionescu who runs the point for the Oregon Ducks.
