EUGENE -- Oregon defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt remains a candidate for the head coaching position at Colorado.
Leavitt, who served as defensive coordinator for the Buffaloes in 2015-16, is one of three top candidates to replace Mike MacIntyre, along with Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker and Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason, according to Yahoo's Pete Thamel.
If Leavitt, who according to 247Sports, also interviewed for the Texas Tech head coaching job that is now reportedly focused on Utah State's Matt Wells, were to leave Oregon, he would owe the school a $500,000 buyout.
