-- Toni Reavis has an interesting post on his blog, Wandering In A Running World, in which he contends track and field needs to incorporate a team aspect to what is is an individual sport to engage with fans.

He uses Raevyn Rogers' stirring, 4x400 anchor leg that decided the women's title at last week's NCAA Outdoor Championships as an example. Rogers had to bring home the Ducks in first place for Oregon to clinch the title. There were nearly 13,000 people at Hayward Field on their feet to see her do it.
