Four Ducks earned recognition for their play in 2015 on two of the five most prestigious college football all-America teams, which were released over the past week.
Senior defensive end DeForest Buckner, the Pac-12 defensive player of the year, earned second-team all-America recognition from The Associated Press and the Football Writers’ Association of America. Buckner is second in the Pac-12 with 9.5 sacks and third with 16 tackles for loss.
Running back Royce Freeman also received second-team mention from the FWAA, and was a third-team selection of The Associated Press. Freeman enters the bowl season fourth nationally in rushing with 142.
