There is some politicking going on surrounding the removal of Oregon associate athletic director and head of Track Town USA Vin Lananna from his position as President of USATF. There are surface level reasons the move maybe makes sense, but it appears that there is at least poor transparency.
Mario Cristobal has made the final hire for the football coaching staff with Alex Mirabal. Coach Mirabal comes to Oregon from Marshal, where he was offensive line coach. Marshall allowed the fourth fewest sacks in FBS last year.
