Women’s basketball abused the University of Alaska-Fairbanks with a 115-36(!) victory last night. Oregon never trailed and Sabrina Ionescu opened the season with a triple double, her 11th all time.
Men’s basketball cruised to a 84-57 victory over Portland State. Payton Pritchard returned for the season opener and lead the Ducks with 22 points. Bol Bol had a 12-12 double double but was limited in playing time by foul trouble.
Freshman tackle Steven Jones is getting some more early development than was maybe anticipated due to injuries along the offensive line as well as a 1 game suspension of Jake Hanson for targeting.
