INDIANAPOLIS – Senior guard Payton Pritchard was named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy watch list Thursday. The trophy is presented annually to the national player of the year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
Pritchard is one of 46 players nationally named to the initial watch list. He is one of five Pac-12 players on the list, joining Zeke Nnaji of Arizona, Nick Rakocevic of USC, Tres Tinkle of Oregon State and McKinley Wright IV of Colorado.
Recently named to the Battle 4 Atlantis all-tournament team, Pritchard leads the nation with 117 consecutive starts.
