Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott 'deeply troubled' after arrests of two coaches on corruption charges

Pac-12 Conference commissioner Larry Scott issued a statement on Tuesday, saying he was "deeply troubled" following the arrest of two conference coaches.

Arizona's Emanuel Richardson and USC's Tony Bland were arrested on federal corruption charges, stemming from an FBI investigation that resulted in 10 arrests, including Jim Gatto, Adidas' director of global marketing for basketball.

"As Commissioner of the Pac-12 Conference, I am deeply troubled by the charges filed in federal court today against a number of individuals involved in college basketball, including two assistant coaches employed by member institutions of our Conference," Scott said. "Protection of our student-athletes, and of the integrity of competition, is the Conference's top priority.
