Oregon's strong offensive game wasn't enough to beat Stetson

DELAND, Fla. – Despite six different players scoring multiple goals, Oregon couldn't come up with enough defensive stops en route to a tough 18-15 loss at Stetson on Sunday afternoon to close out its two-game Florida road swing.

Oregon scored the first goal of the game but the Hatters responded with a 6-1 run and used a 4-1 spurt over the final 10 minutes of the game that proved to be the difference in the game. The loss drops the Ducks to 1-2, while the game was the season opener for Stetson.

The Ducks out-shot the Hatters 38-30 and owned a 20-15 edge in draw controls thanks in part to a huge game by freshman Hanna Hilcoff.
